Retirement Village Concerts

We had a very busy March with 3 retirement village concerts. Our first gig was at the Papamoa Beach Village on the 9th March, what a scorching hot day! this didn't stop us, we slapped on some sunscreen and a sunhat and put on a great performance which was well received by all. One of the residents at the village bought the band drinks after the event, which was a very kind gesture - thank you!

On the 10th March we had our concert at The Vines, in Bethlehem. We are always very well received there, as our longest standing player (about to celebrate his 75th year in banding I might add) lives at the Vines. It was another fantastic afternoon of music, the weather put on a great show again for us - and we all had a great time. We then stayed afterwards for a well earned beer and a sausage cooked on the bbq!

Our final concert for the summer season was at Althorp Village in Pyes Pa on the 17th March. We had a lovely concert on the green, which was well received by the village. They were all dressed in their St Patrick's Day attire - and a fine time was had by all! Afterwards we had a lovely afternoon tea, kindly put on by the retirement village. Some of us then went to the pub to have a drink to celebrate St Patricks Day! It would be rude not to!
